Introducing The Pan-Tones

The Pan-Tones

I started a flute band with the best flute players (and guitarist) I know in town!

The Pan-Tones perform music that demonstrates the interaction between Andean folk music and Western European classical music, for varied flute ensembles with guitar, percussion, and audience participation.

Repertoire includes folk tunes (and a bit of Mozart) arranged by Los Incas, Los Caballeros, and Los Laikas and adapted by Alyse Hokamp for classical flutes, music by Daniel Alomia Robles, and chamber music by Peruvian flutist/composers Daniel Cueto and Cesar Peredo.

We’ll be performing at the Texas Flute Festival in May, and other locations (details tbd).

Check out our new band page! I’ll be updating it with more information on the all-star members of the band, and some of the cool connections between the different music we’ll be performing.
