Two successful gigs in one night!
It was a whirlwind, but so fun. We played in basically two opposite situations, which was fascinating.
The first gig was at the Texas Flute Festival to a basically empty auditorium which was relatively big, with brick walls, and acoustically dry.
The second gig (two hours after the first) was in a much smaller and live space, which was nearly packed, and had colorful art everywhere.

This was also my official debut as an arranger, and I really love doing it! It’s empowering to adjust the music to suit you (especially coming from a classical background), and gave me some more practical understanding of why composers make particular decisions.
I can’t wait to make more arrangements for this group. The possibilities are endless!
