The Pan-Tones: Knots-kashi (懐かしい)

“Natsukashii” translates to “nostalgia” in English, and is pronounced “knots-kashi.”

I’ve arranged a new set for the Pan-Tones of music from my experience growing up as a Japanese American in the 90s/00s.

「音」 is pronounced “on” in Japanese, and means “sound”

Here’s the set list so far:

-Sailor Moon theme song
-Totoro theme song
-いつも何度でも (Always with you), from Spirited Away
-人生のメリーゴーランド (Merry-Go-Round of Life), from Howl’s Moving Castle
-First Love, by Utada Hikaru (Japanese American Jpop singer)
-Endless Story, by Yuna Ito (Japanese American Jpop singer)
-Planetarium, by Ai Otsuka

A few more arrangements are also in progress…
